Time to update!

Well, my dream of being a weekly blogger flew by the wayside! The last time I blogged was when I put up a few ultrasounds of our little baby Drummond. Well, that was almost 2 years ago .. and .. he's here! He's actually 16 months old now. SO .. a little update. I stayed home for the 1st 4 months and then went back to work full - time. Which would be why I haven't been on to blog (at all). My amazing husband works the night shift; so he took over the day shift with our little guy so that we didn't have to fork out the dough for daycare .. that, and because we weren't very trusting and didn't want to leave our precious baby with anyone! Ok .. so the stats: Gavin Scott Drummond made his appearance on July 12, 2010 in Ogden, Utah at McKay Dee Hospital via C-Section. He weighed 6lbs 14oz and was a whopping 19inches long! Very little hair, blue eyes, and more adorable than I ever imagined! He was welcomed by my entire family! Mom & Dad, my sister Beckie & her husband Kyle and daughter Lexie all drove in from Louisiana the weekend before. It was a pretty crazy time, but it was amazing! Stephen's dad and step-mother flew in the next day. Gavin and I were in the hospital for 4 days, and when we got home it was a fast and furious race to plan his blessing and baby shower while everyone was in town. We held his blessing & baby shower on that following Saturday. He was 5 days old. My dad gave him his blessing, along with many of my family members in our new home. It was a very special time! Gavin was given his middle name to take after my dad. Gavin is the 2nd grandchild in my family, but he is the 1st boy. He is the 1st grandchild for Stephen's family .. he's very special to everyone! I am a stay at home mom as of the last week of this October, 2011 .. so I am going to try to update this blog over the next week .. and from there .. I will try to keep it updated more often! I will begin with Gavin's birth .. and post a photo for every month up until now. I will also make some additional posts w/ info about special occasions we have been able to celebrate as a family! I hope you all enjoy following along .. and if I get off track .. feel free to kick me and make me blog some more! We love you all!
